TRIPLE WALL DRAIN PIPE
Triple wall pipe refers to a type of drainage pipe that consists of three layers. Each layer has a specific function and is designed to provide strength, durability, and efficient water flow in drainage systems. Triple wall uses common SDR35 PVC fittings, which we also carry a large selection and inventory.
Each layer of triple walled pipe offers a benefit over it's counterparts:
Inner Wall: The innermost layer is smooth and made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). It provides a smooth surface for water flow, minimizing friction and allowing for efficient drainage. The inner wall is resistant to chemicals, abrasion, and corrosion.
Middle Wall: The middle layer is corrugated and adds structural strength to the pipe. It enhances the pipe's ability to withstand external pressure and loads without deformation. The corrugations also increase the pipe's flexibility, allowing it to accommodate ground movement or settling.
Outer Wall: The outer layer is smooth and made of HDPE or another material with similar properties. It provides additional protection and durability to the pipe. The outer wall resists abrasion, ultraviolet (UV) degradation, and environmental stresses.
Triple wall pipes are commonly used in drainage systems, agricultural applications, culverts, stormwater management, and other situations where efficient water flow and durability are essential. The triple layer construction ensures that the pipe can withstand external loads while efficiently transporting water or other fluids away from the area.
