OPPORTUNITY
This is a full-time role in Construction Material Sales based in Nashville, TN. This career-oriented position will work closely with our key distributors' sales reps while interacting face to face, on the phone and through email with our customers and contractors. The successful professional candidate will be responsible for basic estimating material lists and selling site construction materials to contractors, engineering firms, and government agencies, commercial and residential landscapers, among others. They will also be responsible for developing new business, managing existing accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Generate sales revenue and profit
- Generate qualified leads through networking
- Maintain existing clientele through relationship building
- Provide technical support to clients on the use of our materials
- Meet sales targets and build upon them
- Maintain client records
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS *Willing to educate and train for the right candidate
- 3+ years of experience in construction materials sales, or related industries *
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and developing new business
- Experience selling to contractors, engineering firms, and government agencies, among others *
- Self-starter, requires little supervision, ability to work independently
- Perform plan takeoffs for storm, sanitary, water, utilities, erosion control and other product categories *
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
- Ability to multitask under pressure and real world deadlines
- Ability to research new products and concepts
- Ability to prepare and submit quotes and proposals
- Cold calling on new and existing customers
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and between owners and managers
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required with proven experience
