Jamie Felts
Jamie is a proud native of Nashville with generational roots in the midstate. She is a proud member of Tennessee Women In Green (TWIG) and the Nashville chapter of the National Association Of Women In Construction (NAWIC).
Growing up in a family construction business with projects across the nation, she has been around development and growth her entire life. While balancing farming and while still in high school, her father and uncle built a prosperous business from hard work and sheer determination out of an abandoned volunteer fire hall in Robertson county.
Those values and mission have allowed them to continue to grow while remaining a privately owned pillar of the community.
While in high school Franklin Road Academy and College at Belmont University, Jamie, alongside her mother and brother, successfully brought the first day spa to Tennessee. They petitioned our local leaders to require licensing of massage therapists and day spa facilities to be held to the utmost educational standards for the practioners and their facilities.
In her early 30's Jamie met Todd, also a native Nashvillian, and they were inseparable from day one. Within months, Jamie and Todd were both recruited by a large commercial landscape, hardscape, concrete and erosion control company that has recently moved their headquarters to middle Tennessee. The pairing of these two people led that company to have the largest backlog of work in their history. Having their shared background in general and civil construction paired with commercial and large format landscape, hardscape and erosion BMP made Jamie and Todd and formidable team.
After a few short years, Jamie was again recruited by a local erosion control supply company. Todd and Jamie parted ways in their careers but that wouldn't last long. A short while later, Todd was asked to join the team and broaden their offerings to include all site work materials. Todd and Jamie stayed on board for over a decade, growing revenue and brand recognition in the industry.
In 2022, Todd and Jamie entered the next phase of their careers and opened Terrain Civil. They desire to help all levels of the site development, stormwater, stabilization, erosion and drainage industries in their product education, development and selection. From initial erosion measures such as construction entrances, silt fences, wattles, filter sock and stabilization products such as geotextiles, geogrids, pervious paving, and soil confinement to all components for drainage systems, rain gardens, bio-retention ponds, underground detention systems, and water quality units – they can help on every level right up to the final seed and straw and stabilization with erosion control blankets and hydroseeding.
They'll send their second and last child off to college in a few short months. They are extremely thankful for the opportunities that the Mid-South and especially the Middle Tennessee site construction industry has provided to them and their family. Todd and Jamie truly appreciate every opportunity to help serve their community, the contractors that build it, and the friends and partners they've have made over the last many decades.
Vice President
Todd Felts

Todd Felts began his career in the green industry at an early age – cutting grass and maintaining residential and commercial landscapes and hardscapes. Like so many others, it was a means to an end as a young man. Luckily for Todd, his ethic of hard work that has been instilled in him from a young age did not fade. In the late 90’s, Todd was hired at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, GA to manage the residential side of their campus horticultural needs. Within months he was promoted to manage their
16 acres of performance athletic field turf and facilities and their athletic practice facilities. Within two years he had won a national award for Field of the Year as voted by coaches and his peers.
Todd moved back to Nashville in 2004 and worked mostly in residential landscape construction, site construction, surface and sub-surface drainage and the nursery industry. A few years later his experience led him to be recruited by a large landscaping and erosion control company in middle Tennessee as their estimator and lead project manager. In a matter of months, the company’s backlog grew from several hundred thousand dollars to over 18 million dollars. This is where Todd honed the skills and foundation of his civil construction and erosion control knowledge. Years of hard work in the green industries suddenly came into focus.
Over the next several years, Todd focused on the basics of erosion control, drainage and stabilization and how that knowledge helps protect our environment and maintain BMP compliance with local and state regulations. Health issues in 2012 required that Todd move from the construction side of the industry into material supply where his wife, Jamie, had found herself a couple years sooner with her family background in steel construction.
Todd’s affinity and knowledge of the construction process only spurred him on to learn more about the
available systems and products and how to create a resource for contractors to find these erosion
control supplies under one roof. His industry exposure grew nationally, and he formed deep
relationships with the best and most innovative manufacturer’s. With Todd’s experience, his goal was
to become a resource of knowledge for end users and a voice for the contractor with the producers – to
create a place where the two could come together and learn from one another.
